What we have been up to

Emerson with a helmet on for the first time as we take our first family bike ride of the year! Poor girl is still using Kaleb's old things. Maybe we'll get around to getting her some more girly things this summer!

Kaleb's new bike. He really needed a bigger bike. The old one looks so tiny compared to this one.

I've been lazy with the camera lately so I haven't gotten much of the kids in action. This past weekend we had a blast though. On Saturday we went to our first carnival of the year in Marine City. Kaleb convinced me to buy tickets to go on rides and then refused to go. My little daredevil however still wanted on with or without her brother!! Kaleb was only interested in going down the big slide and in the bouncy obstacle course. We enjoyed some ice cream before we left!!

New Stats

It's been a while huh? I've been sick, tired and dealing with dental problems lately so I have had little energy for getting on the computer!

Last week Kaleb and Emerson went in for their well visits.

Kaleb - 4 year
Height: 44inches (97%)
Weight: 41.4 lbs (75%)
He got 4 shots in his arms, a hep shot in his forearm, and a finger poke. The poor kid. His voice was hoarse for several days after due to all the crying and screaming. I would have to say that shots only get worse as they get older. Kaleb had to be held in my lap, with Jason holding his knees and hands, and the dr. trying to keep his arm steady. He was like a little bull being let out of the gate and all the while screaming "Mommy no, don't give me a shot. Nooooooooo" I felt so bad. Of course I think that now he is done with shots for a while, thank goodness!

Emerson - 18 month
Height: 34 inches (97%)
Weight: 23.2 lbs (25%)
Emerson did not have any shots this time which was nice. She is doing great and growing like a weed. It is strange for me to have such a light weight since Kaleb was always a little linebacker. It is also kind of hard to shop for Emerson at the moment. Pants that are long enough are too big in the waist, or if they fit her waist they are too short. I can't wait for it to get warm so I can just throw her in a dress!

We are all counting down the days until summer break (18 more school days if you were wondering!!) This summer will be much more fun. For one, I don't plan on having a baby in a cast this time! Last year was also hard because Emerson wasn't walking yet, so she had to be carried everywhere and was still sleeping a ton. This just made things hard when it came to keeping Kaleb engaged and active. This year I can let the two monkeys go wild together outside. Kaleb will be playing "Bitty Baseball" through the rec dept. and I also plan to take the kids to a local gymnastics place once a week where they can play on all of the equipment including the trampolines and foam pits. The plan is to stay active and have a fun summer!
